poem 235

The stage is set, the characters cast

and will do as functioned

Always absence of hand

no matter how far apart

or claims your intellect made

still your existence marked on chart

In conclusion made, a millennia, millennia ago

How that hand was amused

How that hand was payed

How that hand was played

Still and easily to groom you

with myths fit for the likes of you

written in stone

written in ink

written on a billboard forever in glow

and written in mirror shinning so darkly

The stage is set, characters cast

and will die as functioned

The tales in child, printed in mind

The fire bird or a singing fisher man

or street cleaner in mourning

or titled saint printed in mind

In conclusion made, a millennia, millennia ago

No more than dust remains

No more human than all

No more than finger pricked

Still and easily to groom you

with blood ringing on and on

Under cold and empty stone

Under empty investigation

Under clouds above forever in glow

And under the stars shinning so darkly

The stage is set, characters cast

and will sigh as functioned

poem 234

Together, gentle, do we sway

as angels find there prey

From high on heels, yes her heels

screams brighten on the wheels

while  the  poet  he bleeds again

from the news which reels again

numb, we  can't even  feel  again

but together, gentle, do we sway

Together, gentle, do we sway

as couples energise to a kiss

From high we feel, yes we feel

dreams broken on the wheels

while  the  poet  he  bleeds  again

from memories which reels again

numb we  can't  even  heal  again

but together,  gentle,  do we sway

poem 233

All is not well with our music

he who dreams in harmony

Now classed a terrorist

for how can weapons be sold

All is not well with our weather

she who dreams in rainbows

Now classed as a degenerate

for how can we privatise love

All is not well with our land

he who dreams in community

Now classed as heresy

for how can hate be sowed

All is not well with our health

she who dreams in tomorrow

Now classed as insane

for how can we consume today

poem 232

The shadows around Conspirer

upon her sin of a smile so proud

When witnessed by all around

a contagion from which explodes

humanity proof as a rose

For even fools know

this unfolds power untold

and wealth upon which they hold

Corrodes upon golden thrones

and all there lies sold

now for the world shown

And all upon a smile so proud

And all upon a smile so proud

poem 231

Inflation forged blade

cuts your life away

until nothing remains

but constant shame

Here to twist

its sick little game

deeper into your brain

Until going insane

makes its final claim

and becomes your name

and becomes your name

poem 230

House of Lords drinks champagne

upon all the pain, that falls like rain

to harts of the poor, kept on the floor

Until these invisible chains made, drain

all that was human in you, noble gained

and with out shame, make you pay

for the horror, your whole life became

poem 229 (Dr Bard)

Empty bellies, empty lives,

A nation's health in silent dives.

Iron counts fall, a vitamin plea,

Malnutrition's shadow, can't you see?

From hospital wards, a grim refrain,

Food insecurity, etched in pain.

Children frail, with rickets' cruel mark,

A hidden crisis, leaving its dark.

Doctors witness, hearts heavy with dread,

The moral distress, where hope lies dead.

Prescriptions for food, a bitter pill,

In a land of plenty, stomachs stand still.

Free school meals, a lifeline to grasp,

Affordability's grip, a tightening clasp.

Supermarkets stacked, yet wallets drained,

Healthy choices, out of reach, restrained.

Supplements offered, a bitter sting,

Where dignity's feast, should take wing.

Parents go hungry, children's sake,

Food banks overflow, a desperate take.

The numbers climb, a chilling trend,

A decade's toll, with no happy end.

Scurvy and rickets, shadows of old,

In a land of riches, stories untold.

We built this castle, on sand I fear,

Where hunger's whisper, becomes a loud jeer.

Let's break the chains, of this cruel fate,

For every plate full, seals a nation's great.

So listen closely, to the doctor's plea,

For the right to health, for all to see.

Let's nourish bodies, and mend the soul,

Fill empty bellies, and make them whole.

For in a land where bounty flows,

No child should suffer, no hunger throes.

Let's rise together, with hearts alight,

And make each meal, a beacon of right.

poem 228

From the cold

she in bond rolled

With hair of silk

no grey winter

wind could spoil

My gaze found

an oasis in her eye

While the night

cried its lost note

From the north

she now heads

Zephaniah

now at rest

dreaming of her eye
